In 2016, The Love Above party series kicked off to provide a sanctuary for house and disco lovers in Melbourne. It has since evolved into a record label showcasing some of the finest antipodean excursions into house music. With a passion for playing and making house music, it seems fitting for label founders DJ Ingrid & Ryan Berkeley to be representing some of the most eclectic and underground house cuts coming out of the Southern Hemisphere. Since the label's inception in 2018, Love Above Records have released 5 EPs, 4 Various Artist EPs and 2 mammoth 20-track compilations with their latest release featuring revered Detroit DJ & producer, Alton Miller.
The Love Above party series has hosted over 50+ events across Melbourne since 2016. These events have included international acts such as Alton Miller (USA), Carista (NL), Sadar Bahar (USA), Route 8 (HU) + more.
As two of Melbourne's busiest DJs, both DJ Ingrid & Ryan Berkeley have a comprehensive musical resume, regularly playing various club nights and festivals across Australia. The duo explore their mutual passion for house music through intricate DJ sets that span across soul, disco, house and occasionaly techno. Digging deep in to their record bags, the pair will take you on a journey appropriate for the time and place.
